Sunday, 31 January 2021  – Before Mighty Salim died last week, he had called out some politician friends for abandoning him in his hour of need. Salim revealed that one of the famous politicians from Mt Kenya gave him a fake cheque worth Ksh 50,000 when he borrowed him money to go for dialysis. Some people have been spreading gossip that it’s Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, who gave Mighty Salim the fake cheque, but his sister, Sarafina Salim, has trashed the rumours. Sunday, January 31, 2021  – President Uhuru Kenyatta stripped Deputy President, William Ruto, naked during his Sagana meeting. Speaking to delegates from Mt. Kenya, Uhuru revealed Ruto almost snatched his microphone during the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) at the Bomas of Kenya. “A certain person crept behind me and almost snatched my microphone at Bomas of Kenya when I was explaining the extent in his involvement in the BBI process,” Uhuru stated. Uhuru was referring to an incident that happened in Bomas where the DP stood up and whispered something in his ear. Sunday, January 31, 2021  – Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s brother, Dr. Oburu Oginga, has compared Deputy President William Ruto’s current political undertakings to those of his late father, Mzee Jaramogi Oginga Odinga. Speaking at an event in Matungu, where Ruto was also present, Savula, who is leading an impeachment motion against Ruto, stated that he will not be threatened to back down on his impeachment plans. He made his remarks in response to a statement by former CS Rashid Echesa, who dared him over his impeachment plans. “You cannot dare remove Ruto from office, he is the president of the hustlers,” Echesa declared. In a tweet on Saturday, Makau, who is a distinguished law professor at the prestigious State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo Law School, said Uhuru is committing political suicide by having such political gatherings and they will not help in winning support for the BBI. Saturday, January 31, 2021  – Deputy President William Ruto has asked Kenyans to reject the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) until contentious issues are resolved. Addressing mourners during the burial of Regina Akumu in Funyula, Busia County, on Saturday, Ruto said there was a need for grey areas in the BBI report to be looked into before going for the referendum.
