Tuesday March 30, 2021  – Migori Governor Okoth Obado has sensationally claimed that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is being played by his handshake partner, President Uhuru Kenyatta. Speaking yesterday, Obado noted that Raila had been hoodwinked into a partnership with Uhuru who is simply using him for his selfish gains. The Migori governor, who has not been on very good terms with Raila, claimed that the One Kenya Alliance is Uhuru’s making and is meant to sabotage Raila. Tuesday, March 30, 2021  – ODM leader Raila Odinga is now a man under siege from his own party. This is after he is set to lose another governor who will, in turn, challenge him for the presidency. In a statement, Migori Governor Zachary Okoth Obado, hinted that he will soon ditch ODM for his own party on whose ticket he intends to run for the presidency of Kenya come 2022. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 –  New details have emerged over how Somali-based militant group, Al Shabaab, was planning to assassinate former President Mwai Kibaki and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in 2012. Details of the assassination plot emerged from one of Kenya’s submissions to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the ongoing maritime case indicating that one terrorist frequently visited Nyeri, and was tasked with documenting Kibaki’s Mweiga home. The plot which was aided by a local militia group that works closely with the Al-Shabaab occurred in 2012, a year after Kenya deployed the Kenya Defence Forces in Somalia under the Operation Linda Nchi initiative. Tuesday, 30 March 2021  -Joseph Kinyua Murimi, the main suspect in the gruesome murder of Velvine Nungari, has been released on a cash bail of Ksh 200,000. Kiambu Chief Magistrate Patricia Gichochi denied the prosecution’s application to continue holding him for 30 more days and directed that the suspect should be reporting at Kiamumbi police station every Thursday of the week. On the fateful day that Velvine was brutally assaulted and left for dead in a hotel room, she had gone for a date with Kinyua.   Tuesday, March 30, 2021  – Deputy President William Ruto’s life could be in great danger. This is after a foreigner was arrested yesterday after a drone he was operating allegedly strayed into Deputy President William Ruto’s Karen residence.  Police reportedly grilled the foreigner for trespassing into the official residence of the DP and taking pictures without authorization.  Nairobi Police Commander, Augustine Nthumbi, confirmed that the foreigner was apprehended and his drone seized. However, he declined to disclose the details of the foreigner nor the incident.  He said that he will share the information through a media briefing today.
