BBI is no longer tenable, it is a waste of time and resources! RAILA’s deputy also gives up on BBI referendum as he officially ‘joins’ RUTO’s camp – BABA may collapse after this

Wednesday, March 31, 2021  – Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has dealt the ongoing push for Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) referendum a severe blow after he gave up the fight, arguing BBI is no longer tenable to the utter surprise of his boss, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who is the face of BBI. Speaking during an interview yesterday, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) deputy party leader said it would not be possible to conduct a referendum to amend the constitution amid the Covid-19 pandemic and the dwindling economic fortunes. Oparanya said all the available resources should be channeled to fighting the pandemic that has claimed the lives of over 2,100 Kenyans. “As we move nearer to the elections, it’s not going to be tenable (to conduct a referendum) because you know a referendum is just like a General Election.” “The expenses involved are heavy…you can’t have a plebiscite, and then in the next 12 months, you hold the elections,” Oparanya stated. Wednesday, 31 March 2021  – Renowned Mother-in-Law actress, Maria, has revealed that she has been raising her kids as a single mother after her husband abandoned her 12 years ago when she gave birth to her third child. Speaking in an interview with popular YouTuber  Hiram Maina , Maria disclosed that trouble started after she delivered her third child. “ He asked me who had told me he wanted a third child and that I should tell whoever was responsible for the pregnancy to come and take the child. I thought he was feeling off because of the big gap between the second and last born,”  she recounted. Her firstborn was in Form 2 when her husband left them in 2009. He then married another wife and left Maria to take care of their three kids. Maria said that it’s by God’s grace that she has been able to raise her kids and educate them. “My ex-husband remarried and so I chose to move on and focus on the kids. He wanted to have two wives and each wife was to have two kids. So when I had

Show of might as embattled MIKE SONKO unveils a battery of lawyers who will save him from going to jail over corruption – DPP and DCI may never get him

Wednesday, March 31, 2021  – Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has appointed a new team of lawyers to represent him in the Ksh14m graft case. This follows the exit of his lawyers, led by veteran lawyer John Khaminwa and Assa Nyakundi among 4 others, who quit representing Sonko due to the unfairness of Magistrate Douglas Ogoti. They argued that they had not been given enough time to gather evidence from Sonko’s previous lawyers. The initial legal team had been dismissed by Sonko in early February, who then appointed a new team led by Khaminwa.  Khaminwa had further highlighted the absence of the media during court proceedings even though it was a public trial, saying it was against the law and the constitution. Evans Ondieki and Prof Migai Aketch will now defend the embattled former governor. According to the new team led by Ondieki, legal consultation with Chief Magistrate Peter Ooko over the case would be held on April 19 to establish how to proceed with the case.  Sonk

I will jail all corrupt leaders including RUTO, in my first 100 days in office if elected president in 2022 – KALONZO scares the corrupt

Wednesday, March 31, 2021  – Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed his priorities if elected president come 2022. Speaking yesterday   during an interview with  Citizen TV’s  Waihiga Mwaura, Kalonzo teased Kenyans noting that should he be elected president, the corrupt and land grabbers would be in deep trouble with his administration. He noted that he would make sure that all the corrupt people who have been bleeding the country and grabbing every public space available are sent to jail within 100 days of his coming to power. “I will answer that question in the next interview because I think you’re already tiring your viewers, but I can tell you the first 100 days would be phenomenal, a number of people would be in jail, sorry I’m not trying to scare anybody but if you’re going to fight corruption, you will need to set things right,” Kalonzo retorted, a response which most Kenyans found rather amusing. Kalonzo affirmed that the  One Kenya Alliance , which he is part

Wednesday, 31 March 2021 –  Veteran gospel singer, Reuben Kigame, has barred Government officials and those from the copyright bodies such as MCSK and PRISCK from speaking at his burial when he dies.  Kigame, who has been releasing songs for more than 3 decades, narrated how he has been struggling to make ends meet despite composing 29 albums and receiving massive airplay.  “I wish to go public about something and I want this marked well: if you one day hear musician Reuben Kigame is dead, do not allow any government representative or those from the so called copyright societies to speak at my funeral service. What I have been through under them is enough. My songs are played on just about every public event including by police and military bands. Yet at the end of the month I can only look forward to about ksh18,000 in royalties,”  he said. Kigame said that he is speaking on behalf of voiceless artists who have been suffering in silence as cartels in the music industry pocket mill

Kenyans disappointed in KALONZO after yesterday’s interview! The guy seemed to have no clue on almost everything – LOOK!

Wednesday, March 31, 2021  – Kenyans were yesterday treated to a shambolic interview between  Citizen TV  news anchor Waihiga Mwaura and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka. Kenyans, particularly, were disappointed in the way Kalonzo responded to interview questions put before him as he seemed unprepared with no clue on almost all subjects. The interview centered majorly on the  One Kenya Alliance  political outfit formed by Kalonzo and his allies (Gideon Moi, Moses Wetang’ula, and Musalia Mudavadi) as well as his presidential aspirations come 2022. “Should you find yourself in the State House as the President, in the first 100 days, what would be your priorities?” Waihiga asked. However, his response shocked many viewers who rated it as way below par. “I will answer that question in the next interview because I think you’re already tiring your viewers, but I can tell you the first 100 days would be phenomenal, a number of people would be in jail, sorry I’m not trying to scare any

SHAFFIE WERU’s fat salary leaves Kenyans speechless – No wonder this dude bags all the hottest ladies in Nairobi

Image
Wednesday, 31 March 2021 –  Former Kiss 100 presenter, Shaffie Weru, has disclosed the hefty salary that he used to earn at Radio Africa Group through a demand letter that leaked online. The self-proclaimed King of Rave, who worked at the Patrick  Quarcoo owned media house for 18 years before he was fired unceremoniously last week, was earning a whooping  Ksh 682, 500  exclusive of allowances and medical cover. Shaffie earns like a Member of Parliament and considering that he has other side hustles, he might be making close to Ksh 2 million per month. Pay your HELB loan whether employed or not – RINGERA delivers bad news to unemployed and hustling graduates

Tuesday, March 30, 2021  – The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has vowed to never exempt jobless graduates from paying their HELB loans. This follows the ongoing push to have jobless graduates exempted from being forced to service their school loans until they can secure employment. Addressing the Education Committee of Parliament, HELB CEO Charles Ringera said the board had no elaborate mechanism of determining who was employed so that they can start furnishing their loans, adding that they only depend on loan beneficiaries’ goodwill. Ringera vehemently opposed the proposals, saying that it would bar them from those who are self-employed and are doing well enough to pay the loans. “The proposed amendment is objectionable as it will no doubt weaken HELB’s loan recovery mechanisms,” Ringera said. HELB further added that passing the proposal would mean that the loanees would only put in minimal effort in looking for employment in a bid to service their loans. Ringera defended

Tuesday March 30, 2021  – KANU Secretary-General Nick Salat has shared his photos on-air travelling from Nairobi to Migori County despite the cessation of movement orders announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta. Salat was on his way to Kuria, where he represented his boss, Gideon Moi, at the burial of former Kuria East Member of Parliament and immediate KANU vice-chairman Shadrack Manga. “Nairobi to Migori County,” he captioned his photos on Twitter.
